Here’s why Sonam Kapoor postponed her wedding for Veere Swara Bhasker

Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhasker’s friendship is not a new thing! They share a great camaraderie which is quite visible in their pictures. Recently, Sonam Kapoor exchanged wedding vows with her long-time boyfriend Anand Ahuja. Her wedding affair extended over 3 days- including Mehendi, Sangeet and the Grand Reception. Sonam-Anand’s wedding was one grand event, which was attended by the whos who of B-town! But, a person very close to the actress was about to miss out on her precious day!

Yes, we are talking about her BFF Swara Bhasker. In an interview with Radio City, Swara revealed that Sonam’s astrologer had earlier chosen ’12th March’ as the auspicious day for her wedding with Anand. The twist in the tale is that the date happened to be the same date when her own brother Ishaan was getting married to his girlfriend. Swara recalled “Sonam entered (Veere Di Wedding set) looking very upset. I got an idea what it was about.” “She even asked me if I could convince my parents in order to get Ishan’s wedding date changed,” she added.

While on the other hand Swara tried convincing Sonam’s parents to postpone her wedding to another date and the rest is history.
