Himesh Reshammiya and wife open up about Sonia Kapoor

It was recently that composer-singer Himesh Reshammiya and his wife Komal ended their 22-year-long marriage and filed for a divorce at a Bandra family court. The reason for the same was said to be Himesh’s extra marital affair with TV actress Sonia Kapoor. The two were said to be dating since 2006.

Komal and Himesh also have a son, Swayam and recently speaking to a daily, the couple opened up about Himesh and his affair with Sonia. The husband and wife have refused to blame Sonia for their divorce in any way.

Himesh said, “Mutual respect is the most important thing in life. Giving due respect to our relationship, Komal and I have decided to part ways amicably. Every member of our family respects our decision. Nonetheless, Komal is and will always remain a part of our family.”

Komal too refused to blame Sonia for her marriage going kaput. She said, “No one should be dragged into this matter; no one is responsible for it. Our marriage failed because of compatibility issues. Sonia is not to be blamed for this; we love her like a family member.”

Komal will continue to stay in the same building as Himesh, as Himesh is very close to their son and wants him to be around.
