Salman Khan’s hit and run case took a new turn recently when the prosecution alleged that Mr. Khan was accompanied only by three and not four companions when the fatal accident took place. The Public Prosecutor Sandeep Shinde said that it was Salman who was driving the car and not the driver since the time he left from home till the time the accident took place.

The prosecutor produced several testimonies of witnesses including that of Sohail Khan’s bodyguard who was present outside Rainbar stating that only three people got down of the car. These 3 people are Salman Khan’s friend Kamaal Khan, police bodyguard Ravindra Patil and the actor himself. These testimonies from the witnesses reduce the chances of driver Ashok Singh being on the wheels as claimed by the actor. But on the contrary, Justice A R Joshi said that the witnesses might not have registered the presence of the driver (fourth person) as he might have left to park the car.

Salman Khan in his statement had said that driver Altaf was driving the car but then the driver Altaf had to leave as he was not feeling well. That’s when the actor called driver Ashok Singh to drive the car. It was Ashok Singh who drove the car and not Salman Khan according to the defence lawyer.
