Salman Khan‘s controversial 2002 hit-and-run case hearing is scheduled to take place today. The Dabangg Khan has already reached the court. It is a tense week for the Khan, as the trail is on it’s last leg. In the last hearing Salman Khan had in his statement revealed that he was not driving the SUV on the fateful night, neither was he drunk. Later his driver Ashok Singh confessed to being the one driving the car. Ashok said the accident took place as he lost control of the car due to a Tyre burst.

Salman Khan’s SUV had rammed into the American Express Bakery in suburban Bandra, killing one and injuring four persons sleeping on the pavement on September 28, 2002. The actor was arrested the next morning by the Bandra police. He is facing charges of IPC Sec. 304(II) – which attracts a 10-year jail sentence, Sec. 279, Sec. 337, Sec. 338, Sec. 427, and under Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 for the incident that took place on September 28, 2002.

Salman Khan has denied being the one behind the wheel, his driver has confessed to the deed. The Prosecution is demanding that the drivers claim to be dismissed. Now it remains to be seen if the verdict will be in favour of the Khan or not?
