Salman Khan's Judgement date

Superstar Salman Khan‘s Hit & Run Case is on the verge of a closure now. Sessions court judge D W Deshpande will announce the date of judgement in the infamous case tomorrow. It was earlier stated that the a trial court would fix the judgement date in the 13-year-old Hit & Run Case in which Khan is an accused. But now it seems that the court will announce the date on Tuesday. The judge has said that no further time will be given to the prosecution or the defense to make any more submissions.

Pradeep Gharat said, “Tomorrow court will declare the date for declaration of final decision for Salman Khan’s Hit and Run case. Today, the arguments were on the complaint. The application is kept for tomorrow’s decision. We have told that the arguments are not correct. We have replied to the law.”

Earlier Khan was tried for lesser charges that amounted to a lenient punishment, but after the retrial in which almost 48 witnesses gave their statement. Salman Khan who is accused of ramming his Toyota Land Cruiser into a bakery in suburban Bandra on September 28, 2002, killing one person and injuring four others, has been charged with ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder’ which attracts ten years imprisonment.

Salman Khan has been now booked under Section 304 A of the Indian Penal Code (rash and negligent driving), 279 (rash driving), 337 (causing minor injuries), 338 (causing major injuries) and 427 (negligence) in regard to the 2002 case.
