John Abraham and Ileana D’Cruz in Anees Bazmee’s next

Bollywood hunk John Abraham is riding high on the success of his last releases ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’ and ‘Satyameva Jayate’, and the actor is at present busy with the shoot of Nikhil Advani’s ‘Batla House’. John, who has been missing from the comedy genre since long has now signed a film with King Of Comedy Anees Bazmi for his next ‘Sadhe Sati’ that is being touted as a laughathon.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, John Abraham has signed Anees Bazmee‘s ‘Sadhe Sati’ and will be romancing actress Ileana D’Cruz in the comedy-drama.

Anees explained the tentative title and said, “According to the Hindu calendar sadhe sati is the worst time in any individual’s life. Everything and anything he does will go wrong. My comedy takes off from there.”

He further added that it took him around six months to write the script that he took to John who was in splits when he heard it.

A source revealed to a popular publication that, “The film primarily revolves around two male characters, but Ileana is the solo heroine in it. Anees wanted someone with good comic timing and was impressed with her act in ‘Mubarakan’ (2017), so he got her on board.”

The film will be produced by Kumar Mangat and will go on floors in 2019.

On the work front, John Abraham is shooting for ‘Batla House’, where he is donning the role of Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who spearheaded the famous Batla House encounter that took place almost a decade ago on September 19, 2008, which is officially known as Operation Batla House. The incident took place against Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. It will hit the big screens on August 15, 2019.
