‘Housefull 3’ gets U/A certificate, but after 5 cuts

Our strict CBFC has done it again. The recent movie to go under the scissors of CBFC is Sajid-Farhad’s ‘Housefull 3’ starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon.

CBFC has given U/A certificate to ‘Housefull 3’ with five verbal cuts. This is for the first time when a movie under ‘Housefull’ franchise has gone through such a chopping process.

A source in Deccan Chronicle has quoted, “There were innuendos and abusive words that were asked to be removed. Also, there was a song in which words were found ‘objectionable’. The ‘Housefull’ team however, had come to the censor board with alternative words for the songs as they had anticipated objections to certain words. So they immediately replaced those words with new ones and took the censor certification.”

‘Housefull 3’ which is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala will be releasing on June 3.
