Actress Tanushree Dutta levied charges of sexual harassment against actor Nana Patekar that soon spearheaded the Me Too movement in India. She had opened up on a ten-year-old incident from the sets of her 2009 film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ (2009) as for how she was forced to perform a sleazy step with Nana, which was not with her consent. When she refused to shoot, the actor had allegedly even sent goons to intimidate her.
Due to the ongoing controversy, Nana who was currently shooting for ‘Housefull 4’ has stepped out of it, stating he doesn’t want to cause an inconvenience to the makers and crew of the film.
As reported by a source to Pinkvilla the makers of the film are now looking for a replacement for Nana. The names that are circulating as potential replacements are of actors Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor. But the source further added that Sanjay Dutt may apparently not do the film. But whoever is signed the makers will have to reshoot six days worth of shoot.

Not only Nana Patekar, but the director of ‘Housefull 4’ Sajid Khan too has also been accused of sexual harassment by three women. Therefore he too has been asked by the makers to step down after these allegations surfaced, he has since then stepped down as the director and is replaced by Farhad Samji who had earlier directed ‘Housefull 3’.
Now it has to be seen who will be replacing Nana in this film.
‘Housefull 4’ is a part of the hit franchise going by the same name. Starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Kriti Sanon, the comedy-drama is slated to release on October 26, 2019.
