Apart from lead actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bidita Bag, Divya Dutta also plays a pivotal role in ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’. While the gossip mongers were discussing Chitrangada Singh’s (formerly was on board as the lead actress) sudden and controversial exit from the film, Divya put in equal hard work to essay her character.
Not many know that Divya is claustrophobic, which means a strong fear of confined spaces around you that tend to suffocate. However, such was the dedication of the actress, that she was required to lower herself deep into mud, till her neck, she not only did it despite her fears, but stayed in the same position for three long hours. The team, that time, was shooting in Lucknow, amid the infamous heat, reports Mid-Day. It must have been a memorable experience for the actress!
‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’, directed by Kushan Nandy who also happens to be the son of renowned critic Pritish Nandy, is an action thriller. It features Nawazuddin as a gangster and earlier hit the headlines for containing a number of steamy sequences.
The film hits the theatres on August 25, this year.
