Hrithik Roshan receives another award for ‘Super 30’; Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’s reign continues

After winning the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award recently, Hrithik Roshan won yet another award for his performance in ‘Super 30’ at Zee Cine Awards. Hrithik who always mould himself in every character given this time had a challenge in front to prove himself in ‘Super 30’. When the audiences understood that Hrithik would be playing the character of Anand Kumar, it kept them wondering as there were no similarities between the character of Anand Kumar and Hrithik.

The actor giving his best proved everyone wrong when the movie finally hit the screens. The audiences had applauded the actor for giving such a performance on-screen and acing the character flawlessly. The movie reiterates on how phenomenal performer Hrithik is.

The actor from the beginning showed his versatility as an actor where the actor played double roles in ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar hai’, after which the actor played the character of an Emperor in ‘Jodhaa Akbar’. Stirring things up Hrithik aced the character of a blind man in ‘Kaabil’, followed by the character of Ethan Mascarenhas (a quadriplegic) and the latest one being Kabir in ‘War’.

The actor left no stone unturned and treated his fans with two distinct characters in ‘War’ and ‘Super 30’ in a span of just two months. It was obvious that after giving such phenomenal on-screen performances one after the other and always treating the fans with something new and unique, Hrithik truly deserves every bit of the praise coming his way.

Meanwhile, Zoya Akhtar’s directorial ‘Gully Boy’, which released in 2019, made a stunning roar all across the nation. The audiences had loved the on-screen pair of MC Sher and Murad. The movie has been receiving multiple awards at every award show and has yet again bagged some more set of awards at Zee Cine Awards.

‘Gully Boy’ won awards for Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Viewers Choice Best Film, Viewers Choice Best Actor (Male), Viewers Choice Best Actor (Female), Viewers Choice of the song of the year (Apna Time Aayega), Best Debut Male, Best Director, Best Jodi Bandhan (Siddhant and Ranveer).

The storyline of ‘Gully Boy’ revolves around Murad, an underdog, who struggles to convey his views on social issues and life in Dharavi through rapping. His life changes drastically when he meets a local rapper, MC Sher. The entire story also showed a whole new side of the lead actors which was loved immensely by the audiences.

Zoya is one of the biggest and best directors we have in Bollywood today and her most loved film ‘Gully Boy’ had become India’s official entry to Oscar’s 2020 which is all the proof of the artistry she possesses.

Apart from this, Zoya has also directed and produced her first web show ‘Made In Heaven’, which was loved by the critics and the audience alike.
