Huma Qureshi breaks her silence on relationship with Sohail Khan

As already reported, after Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan parted ways, Salman Khan is playing mediator to save bother Sohail Khan’s marriage with Seema. Apparently, their marriage has been on the rocks ever since reports of Sohail’s growing closeness with Huma Qureshi started doing the rounds. It was just last year when Huma, who is quite active on social media, took to Twitter to lash out at a publication that gave rise to such speculations.

Now, the ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ actress Huma Qureshi has addressed the rumours and come out in open about it again. Inan interaction with The Hindustan Times, Huma said, “What really hurts is that without knowing the truth about my life, they (media) go ahead and put these stories. And I’ll tell you why they do it; they do it because they want to take away all the attention from my hard work. They want to show that whatever I have achieved in my life is because of my closeness to a particular man, who may be coming from an influential family or is influential himself. That is disrespectful.”

Huma, who has no filmi background in the family, says that it is easy for people to dismiss a woman’s hard work and talent, especially if she hails from a non-film background.

On the work front, the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ actress us set to appear in Gurinder Chadha’s upcoming British-Indian film.
