Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were the two beautiful ladies from Bollywood to shine bright at this year’s Met Gala. Amongst the big Hollywood stars, Deepika and Priyanka made sure that they got noticed at the Gala. But well, they had their share of criticism too as Twitteratis simply could not stop talking about the outfits that they wore at the event. Priyanka wore a long-trail trench coat dress while Deepika chose a satin dress to sport at the Gala. Unfortunately, both of them got trolled, despite putting their best efforts. But did this affect both the ladies? Obviously not! At a recent event, Deepika reacted to the trolls and had a best comment to make!
She stated, “I think the focus is too much on the clothes. The idea is to have fun. I am sure my team will come up with something amazing but the idea is to keep it fun. The only time I will allow any sort of comment on my attire is when the flak comes from my mother or my girlfriends.”
Further adding, “It’s a collective decision. We work together to create a look. I am not dressing for you, I am dressing for myself, so it’s okay if you don’t like it. I think all of us have a signature style, something that you are comfortable in. I have some things that I’m comfortable with… I like to put my hair up, I like red lips. I’m fortunate enough to work with the industry experts who help me find the balance between my comfort and the current trends.”
We completely agree with Deepika’s thoughts over this! It’s an individual’s choice to wear what one likes, nobody has a say in it. (Also Read: Priyanka Chopra slays in a trench coat dress at Met Gala 2017 and Twitter goes on trolling spree!)
