In Video: Anil Kapoor gets emotional remembering THIS person at IFFI 2018

The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2018 is currently underway in Goa. The prestigious and marquee film festival is hosting some of the biggest names in the industry. With its various panel discussions, the festival is giving the audience a better idea of filmmakers and actor’s journey and what goes on behind their struggle.

Now, Bollywood’s veteran actor Anil Kapoor was at the festival attending, ‘Masterclass with Mr. India’ session which was moderated by his daughter Rhea Kapoor. The actor spoke about his initial days in the industry. The ‘Welcome’ actor said he has seen many ups and downs in the industry, but like a phoenix has always risen from any setback.

Anil Kapoor was getting nostalgic about his early days in the industry and you could feel he was getting a little emotional. Talking about his initial days the actor shared,” Whatever I am today is because of ‘Hum Paanch’ director Bapu sir (Sattiraju Lakshmi Narayana); he is no more), May his soul rest in peace and I am sitting in front of you is because of him.”

He further added, “The greatness of Bapu sir was that he was like a magician and knew how to get the best out of you. When I was the production manager on the sets of ‘Hum Paanch’, Bapu sir would tell me stand here, stand here, do this, do that and I am very grateful to Bapu sir.”

Earlier, Anil Kapoor’s daughter Rhea Kapoor also talked about her battle with depression and said, “I went into depression after ‘Aisha’ did not work. Everyone made fun of me and Sonam Kapoor.”
