Kangana Ranaut has given rise to the ‘nepotism’ debate in the chat show ‘Koffee With Karan 5’ when she called Karan Johar, the host of the show, ‘flag bearer of nepotism’. It is a never-ending debate in Bollywood. From Raveena Tandon, Anushka Sharma, Meghna Gulzar to Sara Ali Khan, many celebrities have opened up about it in recent times. The latest to speak is Anil Kapoor‘s younger daughter and Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor.
On November 27, at the 49th International Film Festival of India, Goa, Rhea was with her father for the session ‘Masterclass with Mr.India’ where she spoke on nepotism.
Talking about nepotism in the industry, Rhea said that she feels lucky that her father is an actor. “I am aware that I am lucky that my father is an actor and I am a star kid. I am not blind about it, but I am not going to apologise for how much hard work my parents have put in.”Â

Rhea also talked about the depression she went through when her first film ‘Aisha’ didn’t work. She said that people laughed at her and her sister Sonam when the movie didn’t work. Her last movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ that starred her sister Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and  Shikha Talsania was well received by the critics and did quite well at the box office.
