The much-awaited 55th International Film Festival Of India (IFFI) wrapped up with a grand closing ceremony on November 28. It took place at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Goa. The 9-days long festival showcased over 200 films from 75 countries. The festival offered a vibrant lineup of masterclasses and panel discussions featuring prominent industry figures such as Manoj Bajpayee, Ranbir Kapoor, AR Rahman, Pankaj Tripathi, and more. As the festival ends, the IFFI 2024 list of winners is out and Vikrant Massey and Marathi director Navjyot Bandivadekar has bagged top honours.
IFFI Goa 2024 Key Award Winners:
Actor Vikrant Massey, best known for his role in 12th Fail, bagged the IFFI 2024 Personality of the Year award. Navjyot Bandivadekar won the Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film award for his Marathi film Gharat Ganpati. Swedish filmmaker Levan Akin’s Crossing received the prestigious ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal. This award is given to films that promote peace, non-violence, and human rights. Australian filmmaker Phillip Noyce was honoured with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to cinema.
