
Maharashtra Cyber Cell has refused the plea of YouTuber Samay Raina to allow him to record his statement in Indias Got Latent controversy via video conferencing. The comedian is currently in the US and wont be able to return to India before March 17 due to prior commitments.
Maharashtra Cyber Cell declines Samay Raina’s plea
According to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell, Raina was requested to give an in-person statement on February 18, as reported by ANI.
Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks caused uproar for the Raina-hosted show “India’s Got Latent.”
A legal complaint was made against Ranveer Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, social media personality Apoorva Makhija, and the organizers of Indias Got Latent,` according to ANI, after a significant outcry.
Later, Samay posted a statement on his Instagram Stories, saying that he was “fully cooperating” with the authorities and that he had deleted all of the show’s videos from his channel. He went on to say that his sole goal was to amuse people.
“I’ve been unable to cope with everything that has been going on. All of the India’s Got Latent videos are no longer on my channel. My sole goal was to make people laugh and enjoy themselves. I promise to work closely with all agencies to ensure that their investigations are resolved in a fair manner.” Samay Raina wrote, “Thank you,” on his Instagram Story, according to ANI.
