Jagan Shakti has assisted on ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Paa’, ‘English Vinglish’, ‘Thuppakki’ and ‘Holiday’. According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Jagan Shakti was going to make his directorial debut with ‘Ikka’ but it got pushed back when he came across ‘Mission Mangal’. ‘Ikka’ is an action-thriller and Akshay Kumar will be seen in a double role. He told the tabloid that ‘Ikka’ will go on floors soon and the team is reworking the script currently. He also said that the subject of this movie is really close to his heart. ‘Kaththi’ was a tale of two look-alikes – Kathiresan and Jeevanantham. The film focused on the prevalent social issue of farmer-suicides driven by corporate encroachment.
Talking about the movie, he said, “It will resonate with the underprivileged section of the society. With my second directorial, I want to explore action which is presented in a sleek way.”
In the meantime, Jagan is all set for his directorial debut with ‘Mission Mangal’ that will also star Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi, Nithya Menen and Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles.
