Actress Ileana D’Cruz made her Bollywood debut with Anurag Basu’s comedy-drama ‘Barfi!’ in which she starred alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Ever since then the actress has kept everyone enthralled with her terrific performance in films like ‘Rustom’, ‘Mubarakan’ and ‘Raid’ to name a few.
The gorgeous actress’ beauty is to die for but still, we wonder how can anyone body shame her? Much to our surprise the actress recently revealed on the photo-sharing site Instagram, that she has been criticised for her body type.
A follower on the Instagram asked Ileana if she ever has faced any flak for having an awkward body, correcting that person, the actress gave an epic reply by saying, “Firstly I don’t have any awkward body type. Nobody does. Secondly, yes I have been criticised for my body type. But I am trying to learn to love myself for who I am and not try to conform to someone else’s ideals.”
One skinny fan asked the actress about how can they be confident about their body type, and she gave them a wonderful reply by stating, “Revel in the fact that there is no one like you. Curvy, slim, tall, petite…Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way.”
After reading the actress’s amazing reply on body shaming, one follower even lauded her for handling such comments with so much grace.
Ileana has never shied away from talking about things that matter. Previously, the actress has even openly spoken about battling depression, a topic which is generally considered to be a taboo subject in our country. When someone asked her about how to cope with severe anxiety, Ileana gave them a very beautiful reply as she advised, “Replace the What ifs.. with So what?’ it helps immensely.”
Ileana, we are truly inspired by your answers and also we are extremely thankful to you for sharing your insights about such important topics. Kudos to you gal!
