Ileana D’Cruz shares an emotional note on uncle’s death; says, “You were my second papa. I miss you so goddamn much”

Death of someone, who you are close to, always leaves a void. And only memories help in filling that void. Ileana D’Cruz recently lost her dearest uncle and she couldn’t help but wish she had spent some more time with him. She even penned a heartfelt note for him.

Ileana’s late uncle was an animal lover and she used to also call him as a ‘cat-whisperer’. The actress shared an old video of her uncle where he can be seen feeding a baby squirrel. Alongside the video, the actress poured out her heart in the memory of her favourite uncle whom she thought of as her second papa.

“I wish I had more pictures, more videos, audio notes, anything really… my heart still can’t come to terms with the fact that you’re gone. You were the most wonderful, beautiful, gentlest man I knew….it’s so painful to even write these words down because some part of me still can’t believe it…all I wish I could tell you is that you were loved so so much…I wish I could have had more time with you…we all wish we had more time,” she wrote.

The ‘Raid’ actress further added, “I don’t know if I believe in heaven but if it exists then I know you’re there…with your multitude of cats…”cat whisperer” I called you..there wasn’t a single cat I picked off the street that you didn’t nurture and love with all your heart..and by god they loved you right back…I could just go on and on about the amazing things you did not just for me but for us all…you weren’t just my favourite uncle, my Tiru… you were my second papa ♥️ And I miss you so goddamn much…”

The actress hopes the news of her uncle’s death turns out to be a bad dream and everything goes back to being what it was before.

On the work front, Ileana was last seen in John Abraham starrer ‘Pagalpanti’. She will be next seen in ‘The Big Bull’.
