Imtiaz Ali on why one should not miss the romantic drama ‘Laila Majnu’

Yesterday we told you how filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is going to share his thoughts about his brother, Sajid Ali’s upcoming film ‘Laila Majnu’, and today we have yet another video of Imtiaz talking passionately about this film.

Giving reasons why one should watch this film, in the new video, Imtiaz says, “Sometimes I wonder why would people watch this film? It has no stars, the actors are new who doesn’t belong to any filmy background. Those people who think from the mind more than the heart, I don’t know what they will think about this film. If you are a little mad and different from others then its possible that you may become ‘Pyaar me pagal’ (crazy in love) then I think you must watch this film because the film has characters like you. Both Laila and Majnu are like you. There is little logic and more passion in this film. The people who have made this film are themselves crazy. So if you are passionate then you can see yourself in this film.”

The trailer of ‘Laila Majnu‘ will be out tomorrow. The film stars Tripti Dimri, Mir Sarwar and Avinash Tiwary in lead roles and is scheduled to hit the silver screens this August.

Directed by Sajid Ali, ‘Laila Majnu’ is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Preety Ali. The film tells the classic story of ‘Laila Majnu’ with a contemporary twist.
