Imtiaz Ali’s first meeting with SRK involved a drunk girl!

Fans are crazy and there is no limit to their erratic behaviour, to be honest. Ask our Bollywood stars, and they would have the craziest stories of their fans to narrate. Well, the director of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ has narrated a very interesting tale that involves the King Khan, his wife Gauri Khan and a drunk fan. In an interview with DNA, Imtiaz Ali has revealed about his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan and let us tell you that it is damn amusing.

The director revealed that he met Shah Rukh Khan in London when the star was trying to handle a drunk fan. Apparently, a girl, who was a huge fan of SRK was hanging onto him. When asked about his first meeting with SRK, he stated, “It was in London for a film festival. We all were hanging out and I saw Shah Rukh coming up a very narrow aisle somewhere in the hotel, with a drunk girl hanging on to him. He was dealing with her so gracefully without demeaning her.”

Not just this, Imtiaz further also revealed that Gauri Khan too was accompanying Shah Rukh. “Gauri (Khan, Shah Rukh’s wife) was also with him and everybody was trying to deal with this crazy fan. He was particularly being nice to the girl. When he saw me, he stopped, and we had quite a long conversation even as the girl kept murmuring ‘Oh Shah Rukh, Oh Shah Rukh’ all over him. He was dealing with her like how one would deal with a scarf. He put her arm on one side of the shoulder and continued to talk to me,” Imtiaz quoted. Haha! We just can’t imagine what the scene would have been like, but hats off to SRK, who tackled the situation so sensitively.

Talking about ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, the film is slated to release on August 4.
