This film, starring Annu Kapoor, Ashwini Kalsekar, Manoj Joshi, and Parth Samthaan, has sparked significant discussions nationwide.

Ajendra Ajay, president of the Badri-Kedar temple committee, serves as the creative director for the film. Set in Uttar Pradesh, ‘Hamare Baarah’ addresses the crucial issue of the ever-growing population. The film will premiere during the Cannes Film Festival, which runs from May 14th to May 25th and is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 7th, 2024.
The film is jointly produced by Ravi S Gupta, Birender Bhagat, and Sanjay Nagpal, with Kamal Chandra directing and Rajan Agarwal penning the story. Viacom 18 Studios will handle the film’s release in India, while Rising Star Entertainment UK will oversee the global release.
‘Hamare Baarah’ was announced in 2022, and filming wrapped up early last year. Despite this, its release was delayed and is now expected in theatres in June this year. The participation of Hamare Baarah at Cannes highlights the global resonance of Indian cinema to address universal themes.
