Kay Kay Menon‘s upcoming film ‘San 75’ is set in the backdrop of 1975 during the emergency period declared by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. What many do not know is that the same period had witnessed the inception of mobile phones. The political thriller throws light on the unknown episode and the makers are trying to make it look as authentic as possible. Indira Gandhi’s emergency speech which was broadcast on All India Radio, has been converted into a song for the film.
”The audio rights of the famous Indira Gandhi’s Emergency speech is taken from All India Radio and the video right is taken from Film Division of India as they are the sole rights holder,” said producer Kabir Lovee.
Music composer Sandeep Madhavan has finally set the tunes right, after working on it for three months and coming out with some fifteen versions.
This is surely going to add a huge chunk to the film’s credibility! Directed by Navneet Behal, it hits the screens on July 1, 2016.
