Indra Kumar: No one can speak ‘CHINDI’ better than Jackie Shroff

Bollywood films pride itself on its dialogues and dance numbers. In the history of Hindi cinema, you will find very few films devoid of songs and trademark dialogues. Now, Indra Kumar’s ‘Total Dhamaal’ is releasing tomorrow i.e. February 22. This feature film has Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit and others in an ensemble cast.

Indra Kumar, in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, talked about a variety of issues. Indra was asked about who popularised ‘CHINDI’ i.e. Chalu Hindi. Indra said, “No one can speak ‘CHINDI’ better than Jackie Shroff.” Jackie Shroff is known for his macho image and he always likes to improvise.

‘Total Dhamaal’ looks like a fun adventure and Indra Kumar has a special knack, when it comes to making comedy films. The director’s ‘Masti’ franchise is widely popular and it is still watched by the audiences.

‘Total Dhamaal’ is only focussed on providing entertainment and nothing else. Sometimes films don’t need to be intense and thoughtful as always. Bollywood has space for all kinds of films and all can co-exist.

The film also received a lot of flak over Sonakshi Sinha’s remix version of ‘Mungda’ song. It irked veteran lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar so much that he called it disgusting.
