Interesting! Shraddha Kapoor all set to play Dawood Ibrahim’s sister!

Yes, if sources are to be believed, the latest band member of ‘Magik Band’, and ‘Rock On 2’ star Shraddha Kapoor is all set to play the character of Haseena Parker, sister of Dawood Ibrahim, in an upcoming don drama. The movie is to kick start in October.

Shraddha, who has been a part of ventures like ‘Ek Villain’ and ‘Baaghi’, will be seen in the movie which will be helmed by Apoorva Lakhia. The character of Dawood Ibrahim will be played by Shraddha’s real life brother, and son of actor Shakti Kapoor, Sidhhanth Kapoor, who has already started his preparation for the same.

According to a source, Siddhanth has already started his research, by delving headlong into the world of Mumbai underworld. Before you get us wrong, he is merely doing so by watching movies like ‘Shootout and Lokhandwala’, ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Once Upon A Time Mumbaai’. Siddhant is also reading the works of ex-journalist S.Hussain Zaidi, who has captured the essence of underworld in his books. After he is done with the books, he will be passing them on to his sister. Starting October, the duo will be spending two hours a day on reading and action workshops to get into the skin of their characters. They will also be required to perfect their ‘Bambaiyya’ accent and gain weight for their characters.

The film will encompass the life of Dawood from the age of 19 to 45 years, and will also touch on Haseena’s rackets and dealings, like the negotiations of Hindi movies overseas and dealings with the authorities of slum development.

Siddhanth is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that this turns out to be the best character of his lifetime, since these are his early days in Bollywood. Besides reading books and watching movies, the lad also visited Nagpada, which was once the home of Dawood Ibrahim. On being probed about the movie and characters, Siddhanth said that the best thing about being siblings is the fact that they both understand each other in every way possible, and are pillars for each other. He further added that he and Shraddha share that kind of an equation and are more like best friends.

Well, a movie on Dawood Ibrahim and Haseena Parker, with real life siblings playing the role. We will definitely be interested in this one.
