International Nurses Day 2021: Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and others pay tribute to nurses

International Nurses Day is a day observed every year on May 12 to honour nurses. On the occasion Sanjay Dutt gave a shoutout to all the nurses, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their long service especially during these difficult times. Akshay Kumar also took to his social media to share that he was hospitalized, he was amazed to see them working selflessly all day. He called them the ‘real heroes’ and also thanked them. Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, Nushhratt Bharuchha also expressed their gratitude towards the nurses for their relentless efforts, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sanjay Dutt wrote a note of gratitude on his social media which read, “In the past few days, I’ve come across news of nurses trying to uplift the spirit of their patients while they themselves are going through emotional & physical stress. My heartfelt gratitude to you all for everything that you’re doing for us #InternationalNurseDay(sic)”. Akshay Kumar tweeted, “When I was hospitalised recently, what totally moved me was the amazing capacity of nurses at work. Selflessly and non-stop. Thank you to the real heroes. #InternationalNursesDay.”

Sidharth Malhotra took to his Instagram story and wrote, “Every day, while most of us are staying at home, nurses are working round the clock to keep us healthy. They have always been, and continue to be, crucial to our well-being. Thank you to all the nurses for working tirelessly to save lives everyday. Happy #InternationalNursesDay.” Shraddha Kapoor and Nushhratt Bharuchha took to their Instagram stories to thank the nurses.

Rajeev Khandelwal also wrote on his Twitter account, “To all the nurses in the world and more so in India in these times. Take a bow today and forever. Happy #InternationalNursesDay.” South superstar Mohanlal also expressed his gratitude with his post, “We will always be thankful for your commitment, dedication, and passion in serving our society. Paying tribute to all the Nurses on this International Nurses Day. #InternationalNursesDay .”
