Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare: Aamir Khan gives a warm hug to his son-in-law after the couple exchange wedding vows

Aamir Khan’s darling daughter Ira Khan has been in the news for quite some time now due to her wedding with Nupur Shikhare. After a romantic proposal and Maharashtrian pre-wedding rituals, the two officially exchanged wedding vows in a lavish ceremony amid close friends and family members. After the first glimpse of the couple, an unseen video of them from the wedding ceremony is doing rounds.

On Thursday morning, Ira Khan re-shared a video that showed her and Nupur Shikhare exchanging vows at their Nikahnama ceremony. In the video, Ira is seen holding a paper with vows written on it. She said, “I, take thee, Nupur Shikhare, as my lawful husband”. Nupur then said, “I, Nupur Shikhare, take thee, Ira Khan as my lawful wife.” The guests then clapped and hooted for the couple. After reading the Nikahnama, Aamir Khan hugged his son-in-law Nupur on stage. Check out the video below!

The couple was seen on the stage, surrounded by their loved ones including Ira’s parents Reena Dutta, and Aamir Khan, Nupur’s mother Pritam Shikhare, Kiran Rao, Azad, and others. For the big day, Ira opted for a blue embroidered blouse, pastel pink harem pants, and a dupatta worn as a veil. While the groom arrived jogging at the wedding venue and broke the stereotype as he ditched the traditional sherwani on his big day and chose to go with a tank top and shorts.

Now, as per the latest reports, it is being said that Nupur Shikhare and Ira Khan will have a three-day marriage ceremonies that is reportedly taking place in Udaipur next week. The families are said to host a pre-wedding reception tonight as well. A grand reception will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre on January 13.
