Irrfan Khan Birth Anniversary: Shoojit Sircar, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal remember the legendary actor

In 2020, Bollywood lost one of its most celebrated artistes, Irrfan Khan. Today on his birth anniversary several Bollywood celebs took to social media to remember the iconic actor and the legacy he has left behind. Shoojit Sircar, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal shared heartfelt notes for the late actor.

On January 5, wishing Deepika Padukone on her birthday, Shoojit Sircar shared a behind the scenes picture of the actress from the sets of their film ‘Piku’. Alongwith wishing Deepika, Shoojit remembered Irrfan as he wrote, “Happy birthday and warm wishes & joy 🙂 @deepikapadukone And advance Happy Birthday wishes to dear Irfaan. @irrfan ( Behind the scene pic from Piku)”

Today recalling the days when he was shooting ‘Piku’ with Irrfan, Shoojit told IANS, “On the last few days of his schedule he would say, ‘dada can’t we go on shooting like this. I am feeling like a free bird, I don’t want this moment to stop. Please aap kuch bhi kara lo mujhse (you make me do anything). I can’t explain this feeling. Can’t we just go on and on?'”

Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram stories and remembering the late actor she wrote, “A legendary figure of the industry! You will always be missed and your legacy will live on forever.”

Ayushmann Khurrana also shared a picture of the late actor and wrote, “You’ll always be remembered.”

Vicky Kaushal simply shared a lovely picture of Irrfan. Perhaps words can’t sum up what we all are feeling today.

Irrfan breathed his last on April 29 last year after suffering colon infection. He had also battled neuroendocrine cancer for over two years.
