Irrfan Khan to go on a ‘puchka’ date in Kolkata. Details here

The trailer and songs of Irrfan Khan and Parvathy-starrer ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ has managed to bring a smile to all those faces, who love watching romantic comedies with unconventional twists. We loved Irrfan’s unusual yet adorable camaraderie with Deepika Padukone in ‘Piku’, and he looks nothing short of earthy and cute in ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ too. The actor is on his toes promoting his movie, and now, his destination is the literary and delicious city of Kolkata. And guess what, he is all set to go on a ‘puchka’ date there!

Irrfan has set aside two days for the Kolkata promotions, and part of his plan is to have a round of ‘puchkas’ outside the famous Victoria Memorial, with a bevy of his female fans. How cool, and romantic. After all, keep aside all fancy dishes on a date, and then keep ‘puchkas’, or as Mumbaikars know it, ‘golgappas’ on one side. Though the date would be the highlight of Irrfan’s visit to Kolkata, the actor will also be visiting the famous Nandan Cinema, which is the cultural hub of the city, for media interaction. He is also going to take a boat ride in the Hoogly river.

Well, well, this is surely going to be one memorable trip for both Irrfan and Parvathy.

As far as ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ is concerned, it marks the debut of Malayalam actress Parvathy, and we are so far loving her, after watching glimpses of her performances in trailer and songs. We surely can’t wait to watch her talent unfold on big screen. The movie is about a couple who meet through online dating, and then, through various circumstances and events, go on a life changing journey of love. How they develop feelings for each other and the hilarious encounters they face in the process, forms the crux of the story.

It will hit the screens on November 10, 2017.
