Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan leaves for London; says, “Last time I left Baba was still there”

The year 2020 will be remembered in the history of the film industry as we lost several terrific talents. One of them being Irrfan Khan. It’s still difficult to digest the fact that he is no more. Imagine the pain his family must be going through.

Irrfan’s son Babil keeps on sharing throwback pictures and interesting stories about his father (whom he calls Baba). He recently penned an emotional post for his late father as he is leaving for London.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Babil shared a few pictures of his late father from the sets of his last film ‘Angrezi Medium’ 2020. Alongside the pictures, he wrote, “Off to London. One more year. Last time I left was about this time and baba was still there, it’s weird this time, and it’s not just Baba I’ve lost. (2nd, 3rd Angrezi medium BTS) (sic).”

Irrfan’s ‘Angrezi Medium’ co-star Radhika Madan commenting on Babil’s post wrote, “Lots and lots of love!❤️”. Whereas veteran singer Rhea Bhardwaj wrote, “Blessings! Do create songs and make an album ! You sing beautifully Babil. Whatever you post I listen to it on the loop but its not enough. Do create more music … you are gifted … lots of love”.

Babil’s mother Sutapa Sikdar also blessed him ahead of his journey. “Go boy…conquer the heart and soul of people… May the Raat Ki Rani fragrance show you the path always and steer you back home, ❤❤❤” she commented on his post.

Irrfan died on April 29, 2020. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after he suffered a colon infection.
