Tigmanshu Dhulia and Irrfan Khan were one of the best examples of best friends we had in the film industry till the time the latter left for his heavenly abode last month. The two have always made sure that they were each other’s biggest critics and always managed to take time out of their busy schedule to meet up and discuss their respective projects. Not only that, they even started their career together. ‘Haasil’ the first big hit the duo had completes 17 years today, and Tigmanshu couldn’t stop himself from opening up about his best buddy Irrfan on this occasion.
Taking to Twitter, Tigmanshu shared, “I remember the title came to my mind at his rented evershine nagar flat…brainstorming twenty years ago…Haasil. It completes 17 years today, a film which is an ode to our friendship of 34 years and it will never end…you will always guide me my friend (sic).” Have a look at the post right here:

Tigmanshu was one of the first persons to have arrived at the Khan residence after hearing the report of his best friend’s death. No Coronavirus lockdown could stop Tigmanshu to come and offer his last respects to his dear friend and offer condolences to the family. He made sure that he gave a shoulder to his dear friend’s final ride to the cemetery.
Seeing Tigmanshu’s post, lots of fans started sharing pictures from Haasil on social media. Have a look at a few pictures from the film right here:

When Irrfan was honoured with the National Film Award for his performance in Tigmanshu’s ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, Irrfan had said, “I thought I should have got it for Haasil which was my first film with Tigmanshu Dhulia. Then I thought I’d get it for Mira Nair’s The Namesake. So it has been a fairly long time span of disappointments.”
The unsung superstar left for his heavenly abode leaving all his fans in a state of shock. His last film, ‘Angrezi Medium’ still remains the last big star movie to release in theatres before the Coronavirus lockdown started. The film has received tremendous applause from the audiences once it was released digitally.
