Irrfan Khan to turn a producer with ‘Kaash’

B-town already takes a bow on his name. Irrfan Khan, who has set an all new standard of on-screen performance in Bollywood, is now all set to wear the hat of a producer. Khan is to co-produce a film which is so far decided to be titled as ‘Kaash’. It will be the directorial debut of Ishaan Nair who is a fashion photographer and also the nephew of renowned filmmaker Meera Nair. The film stars  Kalki Koechlin in lead. Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikder will also be involved in the film.

What kind of projects does he want to produce? “I am looking at producing films which will give audience something fresh. And also something that projects my vision of story telling. I would like to produce or co-produce. As a co-producer I would like to handle the creative side of things and would want someone to handle the financial part of it as a partner.”- Irrfan answered.

“I’m on lookout for more scripts which will be refreshing in storytelling. Content is the king”- he added.

The film is going to be a joint collaboration between  Irrfan Khan,Mira Nair, Sailesh Singh and Shimit Amin.
