Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar pens a beautiful and emotional poem for their son Babil Khan

The void created by Irrfan Khan’s death can never be fulfilled. His death feels personal even to those people who never even met him in their lifetime. Irrfan’s son Babil keeps sharing the most cherished memories of his late father via his social media handles. Irrfan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar recently penned a beautiful and emotional poem describing how sensitive and sweet their son Babil has turned out to be.

Just like his father, even Babil doesn’t believe in conforming to the societal norms and instead takes pride in wearing his heart on his sleeves. Sutapa’s poem very poignantly describes how Babil is taking care of her and his own emotions after the demise of Irrfan.

Sutapa took to her Instagram handle and sharing a picture of teary-eyed Babil she wrote in Hindi how Babil is a real man who never refrains from showing his true emotions. From missing his father to taking care of his mother in the most sensitive way, Babil is the son Sutapa is lucky to be blessed with. Sutapa went on to share the emotional, vulnerable and sensitive side of Babil and said that these are the qualities that make him a real man, a tough guy.

In a society where crying is seen as a weakness, Babil doesn’t refrain from crying in public and speaking about his emotions. He is breaking the stereotype that society associates with masculinity. Sutapa signed off by saying it takes a lot of strength to show your vulnerable side to the world and Babil is the toughest guy she knows.
