Voila! That’s “same pinch” for Aditi Rao Hydari and Deepika Padukone again. Yeah, once again. When you see two actresses wearing the same outfit on one occasion, it’s kinda okay. But doesn’t twice deserve a special mention? It was not a while ago that the duo was spotted wearing almost identical Gaurav Gupta white gowns for GQ Awards. And here they are at it once more, but this time flaunting their love for celebrity designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee!
Aditi was in the capital yesterday to attend the Vogue Wedding Show wearing this gorgeous hand-painted floral saree by Sabyasachi that had muted hues of cream and pink. Deepika had donned the same saree for CNBC Awards a few months ago but had kept it traditional in an elbow-length, floral, brocade blouse with a high neck. Aditi gave the number a modern twist and wore a sleeveless sequined blouse with a deep back. She took the look a notch higher with kundan drop earrings and on the contrary, Dippy had opted for understated oversized stud earrings from Jaipur Gems. (Also read: Balayage, ombre, honey shade! These hair colours are a rage in B-Town)
It isn’t just the regular twinning with the outfits that amuses us. We can’t help but notice how both the ladies chose middle-parted hair with a low ponytail and went the soft pink lips route. But Deepika’s makeup artist Namrata Soni gave her the sensuous winged eyeliner look; Aditi went completely sans eye makeup with just a dab of neatly done volumising mascara.
What we love? Well, our Mastani wore a stunning gold choker that looked pretty much like the blouse’s embroidery (we are not complaining one bit). Seems like the pro designer Sabyasachi can’t get over this saree from his Udaipur collection and has styled both the actresses’ in this beautiful saree with green and pink flowers.
Coincidence? We think so! C’mon, look at that beauty. Who wouldn’t fall for this saree’s fatal charm? And these ladies just make it look sexier and make us fall in love with the nine-yard garment all over again.
