Fans were beyond excited when it was announced that Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff have been roped in to star in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’. The film is a reboot of 1998’s film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda. It was recently reported that ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ is getting shelved. Now, director Ali Abbas Zafar has denied all the rumours of the film getting shelved. He assured fans that the film is happening.
Speaking with Hindustan Times, Ali said, “This is absolutely baseless. We are very much on track and there’s no truth to the shelving rumours.”
He added, “We are currently working on the pre-production. I don’t know where these rumours are coming from. For a film of this large scale months of pre-production is needed. We will go on floors by the end of this year or early next year and shoot in the UK.”

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff was announced in February this year. Tiger had shared the teaser along with the caption, “Double Action, Double Dhamaka!! Ready Bade @akshaykumar akshay kumar toh khiladiyo ki tarah dikhaye heropanti? So excited to be present to you all, the Biggest action entertainer ever #BadeMiyanChoteMiyan.”
On the other hand, Akshay had shared the video on Instagram along with the caption, “The year you debuted in this world, I debuted in films. Phir bhi muqabla karoge Chote Miyan? Chal phi rho jaye full-on action! (Still, do you want to compete little one? Then let’s have full on action).” Fans soon shared their excitement and are beyond excited for the film.
