Is Priyanka upset as her production ‘Ventilator’ didn’t get selected for Oscars?

Recently, it was announced that India’s official entry to Oscars is Rajkummar Rao-starrer ‘Newton’. Many Bollywood celebs took to Twitter to congratulate the team of the film. Even the announcement of being selected for Oscars helped the movie to gain momentum at the box office.

But, here’s a new turn in the story. It said that Priyanka is quite upset as her production venture ‘Ventilator’ didn’t make it to Oscars. Rajesh Mapuskar, the director of the film, told DNA that Priyanka must be upset as ‘Ventilator’ didn’t make it to Oscars. However, we are yet to hear from the actress that if she is really upset or not.

The actress’ Marathi production venture won three National Awards; Best Director, Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing. Even at many other award functions the film was honoured. While many people are quite happy that a small content-driven film like ‘Newton’ has been selected for ‘Oscars’, there are also debates that were there no better films made in regional cinema that a Bollywood movie has been selected for Oscars.
