Is Varun apologising for the nepotism remark pulled on Kangana at IIFA?

‘Nepotism’ has been the hot topic of discussion, ever since Kangana Ranaut called Karan Johar a ‘flag-bearer of Nepotism’ on his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’. The controversy had died down but once again, for no reason, Karan, Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan dug it from the grave at IIFA 2017. Though everything in good humour, all the three stars pulled unnecessary digs at Kangana for highlighting this word ‘nepotism’. Soon, social media went berserk and started criticising all three. In fact, their fans too criticised this act, bashing them left, right and center for being so mean to Kangana. But looks like, Varun has realised his mistake and apologised for the same. Recently he took to his Twitter handle to extend his apology. He tweeted, “I express my apology and regret .. I am extremely sorry if I have offended or hurt anyone with that act..” [sic]

This comes right after the act and hence it appears that Varun is referring to the same.
