All you need to know about Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s star-studded engagement bash

Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal engagement festivities kick-started in the foothills of the Alps at Lake Como in northern Italy, on September 21 and will continue till September 23.  Isha is the daughter of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh and Nita Ambani whereas  Anand is the son of Piramal Group chief Ajay Piramal.

Isha and Anand’s love story started at a temple in Mahabaleshwar (Maharashtra), where Anand proposed her. Earlier this year in May a small ceremony was organised to celebrate the proposal. The couple got engaged on Friday (21st September) and these three days will be the exclusive celebrations for the entire Ambani family.

As per a report in India Today, the ceremonies will end with a farewell lunch on Sunday (September 23). The engagement was followed by a dinner party at Villa Balbiano in Lake Como. Day 2 started with the celebrations at Villa Gastel followed by dinner and dance at Villa Olmo. Sunday (September 23) will see a celebratory lunch for the guests at Duomo di Como & Teatro Sociale Como.

There is also a dress code for the three-day celebrations. Indian formal was the dress code for the first day of the engagement. On Saturday i.e today it is an Italian Fiesta, so the guests are supposed to dress in cocktail theme. For the farewell lunch on Sunday, the dress code is casual.

There are also fancy names for the events. The welcome lunch of the engagement was titled as ‘ ‘Benvenuti A Como’ – Welcome to Como. The dinner, ‘Amore E Bellezza’ which means ‘Love and Beauty’ in English. The first event on Saturday is named ‘Fiera Bella Italia’ means ‘Beautiful Fair Italy’. The dinner party and dance is titled ‘Italianissimo’,  which means ‘Truly Italian’. The farewell lunch is titled ‘Arrivederci Como’; means  ‘Goodbye Como’.

Ambanis are great friends with several of the Bollywood stars. So it’s obvious that the engagement bash will see several of the celebrities gracing the event. While we saw the pictures of  Manish Malhotra,  Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor attending the engagement ceremony yesterday, as per reports the other expected celebs to join the celebrations are Karan Johar, Sonam K Ahuja, Adar and Natasha Poonawalla, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan among others.
