Ishaan Khatter says his Hollywood debut role in The Perfect Couple with Nicole Kidman is a ‘rare part for an Indian actor to get’

Ishaan Khatter is one of the most promising young talents in the Hindi film industry today. And soon, this talent is set to take over the entire world. In April this year, Ishaan Khatter announced his Hollywood debut with the web series The Perfect Couple. The series also features Nicole Kidman and now, the actor has given some new details about his role.

In a recent interview with India Today, Ishaan spoke about the diverse roles he is getting to play. He expressed his gratitude of being in this phase in the industry. The actor also spoke about The Perfect Couple during the conversation. He said, “I would say The Perfect Couple is my debut in Hollywood. It is a six-part series with Susanne Bier helming it. I was on Cape Cod on the East Coast for four months to shoot it. I will be completing it soon. It’s very exciting.”

Not just that, Ishaan also spoke about his role and gave an interesting insight into it. He shared, “It is an interesting part and a rare part for an Indian and South Asian actor to get. Hopefully, it will open up new doors and will be an exciting one to watch for their audience and us.”

Ishaan’s upcoming films

Meanwhile, Ishaan has recently made his debut as a voice actor with the audio series Ravan Rising. He voices the young ravan in the series. Up next, he has the war drama Pippa in the pipeline with Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli. Pippa has been ready for a while and has been looking for a release date.

As for The Perfect Couple, it also stars Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, Eve Hewson, Billy Howle, Omar Epps, Meghann Fahy, Jack Reynor, Mia Isaac, Sam Nivola, Donna Lynne Champlin and Isabelle Adjani. Ishaan’s character is named Shooter Dival and he plays the groom’s best friend. The series will stream on Netflix next year.
