Did you know Ishaan Khatter was once dating this ‘SOTY 2’ actress?

Ishaan Khatter is currently riding high on the success of his debut film ‘Dhadak’ opposite Sridevi’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor. The film which released on July 20, is speedily inching towards the half century. Shifting the focus to Ishaan’s personal life, we recently came across a piece regarding the actor’s past which surprised us.

As per a fresh report in Mumbai Mirror, Shahid Kapoor’s brother, Ishaan Khatter was once dating ‘Student Of The Year 2’ actress Tara Sutaria. Surprising, isn’t it? The reports suggest that Ishaan and Tara were a hot couple, but due to the reasons known to them, their affair didn’t last long and ended on a bitter note.

Apparently, their estranged relationship also caused Khatter’s ouster from Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year 2’. When Karan released the solo poster of Tiger Shroff from ‘SOTY2’, Mid-Day carried a report saying that Ishaan Khatter was a part of this movie too. Interestingly, Karan was impressed with Khatter and offered him a role in the film. It was even reported that Ishaan had shot few action sequences.

But when Ishaan and Tara’s affair ended, Karan thought it wouldn’t be nice to let them cast in one movie. He preferred to keep the ex-flames away, which was wise too. Ultimately, Karan decided to retain Tara and let go Ishaan. But, Khatter, being the sensible one, wasn’t disappointed with his mentor’s gesture. Quite mature, Ishaan!

Anyway, speaking about Ishaan Khatter’s ‘Dhadak’, it is earning praises from the critics and audiences alike. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is an official remake of superhit Marathi film ‘Sairat.’
