Recently, a shocking episode came to our notice when Aishwarya Rai’s ex-manager Simone Sheffield revealed how Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein made advances towards the actress. He wanted some ‘alone’ time with the diva. Not just Aishwarya, quite a few Hollywood actresses have accused him of the same. Priyanka Chopra, who is now a known name in the West, has spoken up on this issue. (Also Read: Dress like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan this festive season!)
When asked whether people like Harvey are there in Bollywood too, she said, “I don’t think there is and I don’t think there is only a Harvey Weinstein in Hollywood. I think there will be a lot more stories that will come up.
That happens not just in India, but all over the world. It’s the power of men trying to take away the power of women. It’s about feeling powerful and macho.”
She spoke about how men want to dominate and how it is all about power for them. “We watch the news and look for things that will be positive and that the world will be a better place. But the reality is, the world is not. It’s not just about sexuality. It’s not about sex. It’s about power,” she said.
Priyanka is busy with her projects in the West and currently hasn’t signed any Bollywood film.
