It’s Sonakshi Sinha’s turn to run away, in ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’ sequel?

A sequel to the 2016 run-com ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’ is in the pipeline. If reports are anything to go by, then Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in as the lead actress.

The first part had Diana Penty running from her marriage, and amid all the confusion, landing in Pakistan. Sonakshi, however, is on a longer race; literally! We hear she’ll have to run away to China this time.

The makers have almost zeroed down on the script. Sonakshi hasn’t announced the film yet, but she is almost sure to be a part of it, suggest reports. (Also Read: Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha to reunite! DETAILS INSIDE)

‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’ featured Abhay Deol and Ali Fazal as lead actors. Whether they’ll be retained in the sequel is still kept under wraps.

Sonakshi’s action thriller ‘Force 2’ also revolved around Chinese spies; she was supposed to travel to China and shoot for the same. However, makers could not obtain a permission. Sonakshi, this time, might be able to go to China finally!

The actress is presently working on ‘Ittefaq’ alongside Sidharth Malhotra. She is also said to be a part of ‘Circus’ and essay the role of a Trapeze player.

Sona’s previous Bollywood outings ‘Noor’ and ‘Akira’ were not grand box office success but her performance was widely appreciated. While she played the role of a journalist in the former which was based on a book written by a Pakistani author, and we loved Sonakshi’s portrayal of a journalist’s life, she was a tough cookie in the latter, fighting shoulder to shoulder with goons. The movie even raised the sensitive issue of acid attacks.

The actress recently took a quick vacation and went to the US for a quick trip. We stumbled upon her sun-kissed photos and were envious enough!
