Kumar Sanu’s son Jaan Kumar Sanu is gearing up for his new single ‘Tu Sandali’ that is releasing today (July 27). The song is ‘extremely’ special to him as he recorded the song the day his grandmother (maternal) passed away. It was not easy for Jaan to record the song but he mustered the courage as he thought that it was his granny’s blessings that he managed to do so.
In a conversation with us, while talking about the importance of ‘Tu Sandali’ in his life, Jaan said, “My granny was unwell for a while and my mom went to Kolkata so that she can be with her. The day the song got finalised was the day I got the news in the morning. We performed the last rites of granny via video just two hours before I recorded the song. But I didn’t tell anyone. My granny being my first music teacher, she taught me ‘work is work’ and I didn’t tell anybody till the recording was done. This recording was like granny’s blessing on me because I was not in a condition to sing. Honestly, I was distraught and devastated as she was very close to us. I don’t know how I sang the song as I hadn’t slept in the last three days before the recording. But when I stood on the mike and sang, it just came out as if nothing had happened to my voice and was really happy.”

“This song I have only and only sang for my granny and it’s a tribute to her. This is her last blessing on me and I feel this is one of the things I had to do for her,” said Jaan.
‘Tu Sandali’ is a romantic number under the banner of Aagaaz Entertainment. Produced by Neeraj Tiwari and directed by Aman Nautiyal, music is composed by Joy and Anjan.
