Jaaved Jaaferi quits Twitter anti CAA protest

Over the last few days, actor-dancer Jaaved Jaaferi fiercely protested against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Jaaved had openly stated that he won’t be supporting CAA and NRC (National Registers of Citizen) come what may. The ‘Bang Bang’ actor recently announced that he is going off social media as he can’t handle the trolling and hate.

In Bollywood, while major A-listers are yet to make any comment on the ongoing nation-wide protest against CAA and NRC, there are few celebs like Jaaved who has no qualms in fighting for what he believes in.

Taking to the micro-blogging site, Jaaved wrote, “Can’t handle this trolling and hate.. going off social media till the situation improves.. hopefully…Inshallaah..#indiafirst #jaihind.”

However, Jaaved’s fans and followers are not happy with him quitting the social media platform. One of the users wrote, “Avoid them, block them. But don’t leave this social media to share your opinions because they want our voice to be silenced, let’s not let that happen.”

Earlier, Jaaved had even attended the protest that was held in Mumbai on December 19. After attending the protest, the actor had posted, “Amazing gathering #MumbaiAgainstCAA..more power to the people.. The police was amazing too #MumbaiPolice #Respect”

On the work front, Jaaferi will be next seen in ‘Coolie No 1’. The film also stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan.
