Shah Rukh Khan

A few days after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refused to give Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ a U/A certificate due to the word ‘intercourse’ being used in the film and its mini trailer, SRK has broken silence over the issue.

During a conversation with the press at the Eid lunch hosted by him, the actor said the film had not yet gone to CBFC for censorship and that the members would surely understand the significance of the word once they watched it. “The film has still not gone to the censors… Maybe out of context things they didn’t like… But when they see the whole film, they will understand the context and hopefully everything will be okay,” he said, adding that neither he or Anushka nor director Imtiaz Ali would never be disrespectful through their film.

Previously, CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani, through a TV channel, said he would pass the film if he received a one lakh votes in favour of ‘intercourse’ being used.
