Pic- The shoot of Sidharth Malhotra-Parineeti Chopra’s ‘Jabariya Jodi’ begins

Earlier today, we had reported that Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming film which was initially titled ‘Shotgun Shaadi’ has been changed to ‘Jabariya Jodi‘. Turns out, it is indeed the title of the film backed by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures. Confirming the same, the production house also announced that the shoot of the film has begun in Lucknow.

Taking to their official Instagram handle, the makers shared a picture of the Mahurat shot with a caption, “Filming begins for @parineetichopra and @s1dofficial starrer “Jabariya Jodi”#JabariyaJodi #ShootBegins @ektaravikapoor @shaaileshrsingh @ruchikaakapoor.”

Co-produced by Karma media Entertainment, ‘Jabariya Jodi’ featuring the ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ lead pair and is apparently based on ‘pakadwa vivaah’. The film will see Sidharth playing a Bihari thug who abducts grooms and gets them forcefully married. The film is directed by Prashant Singh.

Besides this movie, the ‘Ek Villian’ actor will be seen in Vikram Batra’s biopic, co-produced by Dharma Production. On the other hand, his co-star Parineeti Chopra has quite an interesting line up of films including ‘Kesari’ with Akshay Kumar, ‘Sandeep Aur Pink Faraar’ and ‘Namaste England’ with his good friend and ‘Ishaqzaade’ actor Arjun Kapoor.
