Jackie Shroff lauds Sanjay Dutt and calls him one of the finest actors

Bollywood’s ‘Jaggu Dada’ i.e. Jackie Shroff has lauded ‘Sanju Baba’ Sanjay Dutt and has called him one of the finest actors. Jackie Shroff will be sharing screen space with Sanjay Dutt in the upcoming remake of Telugu film ‘Prasthanam’. Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt go way back in the industry and have starred in films like ‘Khalnayak’, ‘Mission Kashmir’ and ‘Kartoos’.

Asked about working with the ‘Vaastav’ star, Jackie told IANS, “Have known Sanju before the films. Right from day one till now he remains the same. His child-like quality to make people laugh in the most adverse situation and when it comes to work he is one of the finest actors we have.”

He further added, “Always a pleasure to share screen space with him whether it be ‘Khalnayak’, ‘Mission Kashmir’, ‘Kartoos’ And now ‘Prasthanam’.”

Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff’s careers have almost run parallel with each star enjoying stupendous success across the 1990s. Sanjay Dutt’s career then hit a roadblock due to his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case, but both of them had one great outing together in Subhash Ghai’s ‘Khalnayak’

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt was last seen in ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3’ and was recently had a biopic made on him ‘Sanju’, in which Ranbir Kapoor  portrayed the role of Dutt and the Rajkumar Hirani’s film went on to became a smashing hit at the box office. ‘Prasthanam’ also stars Manisha Koirala, Ali Fazal and Amyra Dastur  and is being directed by Deva Katta, who also helmed the original.
