Jackie Shroff joins the cast of Prabhas’ ‘Saaho’

After his magnum opus ‘Baahubali 2’, Prabhas is set to try his hands at some cutting-edge action, in his upcoming action flick ‘Saaho’. The film, which will be shot in three languages, has Shraddha Kapoor essaying the leading lady’s role. Also, it will be an interesting experience as to how Chunky Panday essays a character with grey shades.

“‘Saaho’ will have three grey characters and interestingly, all of them are from Bollywood. While Chunky Panday’s character is dark, Jackie’s character is more suave and cool while retaining its negative streak. Neil Nitin Mukesh will be seen as a tech-savvy nerd. The film’s shoot has already commenced in Hyderabad, Jackie will join the unit next week,”  a source told Mid-day.

At the same time, Shroff himself also confirmed the development.

“I am happy to be a part of ‘Saaho’ with Prabhas, who is one of the biggest actors in India at the moment. It’s wonderful to know that he trusts me and thinks I can pull off this kind of a role. I have seen both the Baahubalis and loved them. They reminded me of my childhood,” he told Mid-day.

The film earlier hit headlines when Shraddha rumouredly asked for a whopping amount of Rs 9 crore and the makers found it a bit too much to afford. However, it later worked out and she came on board.

The film is set to go on floors anytime soon and should be release sometime in 2018.
