Bal Thackeray’s biopic is the hot topic of the town. Everywhere you go, people can be heard talking about it. So much so, even our favourite celebs have been talking about their real life experiences with the great politician. Jackie Shroff, who has been really close to Bal Thackeray and has time and again spoken about him, has shared a video where he speaks up about his relationship with him.
Talking about Thackeray, Jackie says, “He taught us to respect Maharashtra. The place where you are born, where you have lived your life, the place which has given you everything – he taught us to respect that.” Thackeray was famous for helping people of Maharashtra respect their own selves. Many people consider him as a father figure in his life and Jackie is no different.
“For me, he was my baba (father). He treated me like a son. He loved me like a son. At every given chance, I tried to meet him and spend some time,”adds Jackie. Check out the video right here:
Thackeray began his career as a cartoonist and he has a really great sense of how to see the better side of things. Apart from his oratory skill, his sense of humour was fantastic. “He had this fantastic sense of how to turn every tragic moment into a humorous one. The way he spoke, the way he wrote – his style was amazing. Words fall short to describe him,”concluded Jackie in the video.
Previously, Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan have also shared their memories with Bal Thackeray. Played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the Bal Thackeray biopic is all set to hit theatres on January 25.
