Jacqueline Fernandez expresses she is ‘grateful for the love’ as Ram Setu releases in theatres

Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha-starrer Ram Setu had a Diwali release yesterday and the intriguing adventure-drama has struck a chord with the audience. The film follows Akshay, who plays an archaeologist in the film, as he embarks on a journey to find out the truth about the existence of the bridge Ram Setu, The film has opened quite well with the day 1 collection crossing the Rs 15 crore mark at the box office, becoming the second highest day 1 collection in 2022 for original Hindi content, despite releasing the next day of Diwali. And to acknowledge all the love the film and she are receiving, Jacqueline Fernandez took to her Instagram to express her gratitude.

The actress shared some new stills of her character from the film, as along with it she wrote, “Grateful for the love #ramsetu IN CINEMAS NOW (sic)”. In the film, Jacqueline plays an environmental scientist named Dr Sandra Robello, who is in Akshay’s team to prove the truth behind Ram Setu’s existence. However, a turn of events lead her to accompany Akshay in an expedition that gives them some new perspective and knowledge.

Now with Ram Setu released, Jacqueline is all set to end 2022 with a bang as well as she will be seen alongside Ranveer Singh, Varun Sharma and Pooja Hegde in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus. She also recently announced a collaboration with Vidyut Jammwal for Crakk. As for Ram Setu, Bollywood Bubble in its review gave the film 3 stars and an excerpt from it read, “Ram Setu is indeed a unique attempt in telling an Indiana Jones style of an adventure story, emerging from Indian mythology, and the makers succeed in making sure to do that to a certain extent, but it’s the amateur or plain bad CGI that plays a spoilsport.”
